About

My hobby is photography, and I have always had a thing for cars.  This site is dedicated to what I think are good looking cars, and good photography.  I often surf the net looking for things I wish I had the money to buy, so I thought I would put together a page with a collection of what I have found.

I set out to find the best looking cars made in Germany.  I also enjoy good photography.  I try VERY HARD to make sure that if a photo gets put on this page, that I give the photographers information/website/blog/etc.  I am in no way trying to maliciously “steal” images for my own personal gain.  If you find a picture that you took, and you would like it down, please just email me and I will be more than willing to take it down.

If your photo is on my site, take it as a compliment!

My Car - 2001 C240 Sport

My German Iron.  A 2001 Mercedes C240 Sport Package, with a bit of Red clay from Tennessee caked on. (I am from Ohio for what it’s worth)

Also a photo that I took.

Bought it with 36k miles, and since then, I have had some “issues”.

Right after I bought it, someone had put too much oil in, so my local dealer had to drain almost 1.5 quarts of oil.

A month later, I had to have the MAF sensor replaced.

Three months later, the A/C stopped blowing cold air. So I had it recharged.  It stopped working again, and I waited almost 2 years to get the condenser replaced.

My kids were playing with the power seats, and pushed it too far back against the back seats, and broke the plastic backing clips that keep the back part of the seat off.

The power sunshade works about 10% of the time.

The sunroof works.. Sometimes.

I broke the plastic bit on the drivers side window controls.

My light sensor throws an error, but they still come on automatically still.

The passenger rear door window comes off it’s track sometimes.

All the door handles have come out on the interior doors.

So.. This has been the most problematic car I have ever owned.  But everytime I come up to my car I look at it and still like it for some reason.  It drives like nothing else I have driven.  And even though it isn’t Mercedes most powerful engine, it feels punchy with the 6 speed, and on the highway I can get 34 mpg.

I am starting to think that’s how cars should be.  They should have some character.  My car is far from perfect, but only I can “work it” the right way.  I know how to open the Windows without breaking the plastic off completely, or having the glass come off its track.

When I tell people I have a Mercedes, they always seem to be suprised, and usually make a comment like “ooo big money”.  If you have one, you very may well have spent 50 grand, or even 100 grand.  But you don’t need to be a rich man (or woman) to own one.

You also don’t need money to enjoy a beautiful car, or a well taken photograph.
